Curated by Scott Rogers (Island)

Taking an early essay by Gilles Deleuze as its conceptual score, this exhibition invites a select group of local, national and international artists to respond to the metaphorical, virtual, poetic, improbable and historic implications of the deserted island. The archipelago created by these works implicates the site of the gallery and its immediate surrounds in a dialogue regarding what was, what is, and what may be. (Click early essay for a .pdf of the Deleuze document).

Exhibition runs July 16 - August 28, 2010. Open reception from 7 - 10pm, July 16.
